And while these are not mainstream websites, at least they’re more common than my little hole in the wall blog. But that’s it in a nutshell; most people won’t ever even see the story about the story. And those few who do - preaching to the choir - probably won’t make the effort to track down alternate avenues. Suppression by laziness, TLDR, and/or lack of tech savvy is just as good as a digital book burning or witch hunt; visiting and believing fringe information sites put you on the fringe, therefore you wear a tinfoil hat, therefore you aren’t worth listening to. And TPTB win again.

Breitbart livestreamed their conference and presentations. It was the most popular video event in the world. Facebook pulled the plug on them, quickly followed by YouTube, Twitter, and Google. Because all these highly respected doctors were sharing information that they’d learned in the actual trenches in the war against this virus. So of course they were banned. Who would want the actual truth? That’s merely anecdotal and defies the agenda. Cancel them!!
American life has fallen casualty to a massive disinformation campaign. We can speculate on how this has happened, and why it has continued, but the purpose of the inaugural White Coat Summit is to empower Americans to stop living in fear.
If Americans continue to let so-called experts and media personalities make their decisions, the great American experiment of a Constitutional Republic with Representative Democracy, will cease.
Facebook has removed a video posted by Breitbart News earlier today, which was the top-performing Facebook post in the world Monday afternoon, of a press conference in D.C. held by the group America’s Frontline Doctors and organized and sponsored by the Tea Party Patriots. The press conference featured Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) and frontline doctors sharing their views and opinions on coronavirus and the medical response to the pandemic. YouTube (which is owned by Google) and Twitter subsequently removed footage of the press conference as well.
Matt PerdieThe video accumulated over 17 million views during the eight hours it was hosted on Facebook, with over 185,000 concurrent viewers.
Because “top men”
“We’ve removed this video for sharing false information about cures and treatments for COVID-19,” a Facebook company spokesman, Andy Stone, told Breitbart News. The company did not specify what portion of the video it ruled to be “false information,” who it consulted to make that ruling, and on what basis it was made.
Because free speech, exchange of information, honest discussion, and respect for highly experienced medical personnel does not fit the agenda. Squash them.
Some of the video is available at the Frontline site, about 3 hours worth. And, OMG OMG OMG!! they support the proper use of HCQ, and have a couple white papers on their site.
But you know they won’t be popular, because they tell it straight up:
The safety of HCQ is irrefutable. The evidence supporting HCQ efficacy against Covid-19 is also overwhelming. All negative HCQ studies have used either: too much, used it alone (it needs Zinc), or used it late (it should be early.) The treatment dose is 200 mg HCQ twice a day for five days + Zinc 50 (elemental) daily. The prophylactic dose is 400 mg HCQ weekly + Zinc 50 (elemental) daily. (There are studies right now to see if HCQ 200 mg. weekly is sufficient.) This is very low dose. (The usual dose of HCQ in Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis is 400 mg. daily for years.) There are telemedicine physicians who are aware of the facts and if you are concerned about this, please see one. It is also over the counter in many places in the world including Indonesia and most of South America.
This is the culmination of months-long research from all sources. It explains how Americans have come to be in the grip of fear. All the myths and all the misconceptions about a safe, generic drug that has been FDA approved for 65 years, given to pregnant women, breastfeeding women, children, the elderly and the immune-compromised for years and decades without complication, are finally put in the trash heap where they belong. You will have the indisputable proof that you have been massively lied to, often very intentionally. At first you will first be heartbroken. And then you will be furious. Good. Because then you will demand change.
There is a push going on to make HCQ OTC [ over the counter - no prescription needed ] in the USA, as it is in many other parts of the world. It’s not like we don’t have tens of millions of the pills sitting around, and being a simple to make generic drug, any pill factory could churn these things out by the millions more.
I have not found a transcript of their presentation, or a synopsis. So if you want to know a bit about what went on, you can catch the video at the Frontline web site. That’s it, so far.

Meanwhile, take your B, C, D vitamins, and get your zinc levels nice and robust. Get some fresh air and sun, eat healthy, and try and ignore the news, because stress is bad for your immune system.
There are some sound problems with the video, but it’s mostly OK. The above screencap shows the 5 ways that HCQ + Zn fights the virus ... and the next presentation shows that most of this was known 15 years ago, including the proper dosages. Which means all these big studies were purposely flawed, either by massive, nearly fatal doses, or by deliberately ignoring the zinc aspect, or by not giving the medication at the early stages when it would do the most good. That’s undeniable. We’ve been played.

My Big Digital Day
UPDATE: HORRY CLAP what a difference!!!!
Installation was super easy. Put card in slot in PC, close cover, attach antenna, run the install CD. Instant improvement. Take a look at the settings, notice that the PC now has Wifi and Wifi2, turn Wifi off and Wifi2 on, and this sets the ASUS adapter as the default in the 5Ghz bandwidth. Signal is now at maximum strength, and internet speeds are insane. The Win 10 available networks thing is showing me 10 more networks than before; not mine, but that’s how good the antenna is. The graphics heavy blog Feral Irishman loads in an quarter second, FoxNews loads instantly.
I am a happy camper.

Ok, all the bits and pieces have finally arrived, so I can attack the WiFi situation here.
It’s not a hard thing to do, but there are several steps that will turn into more effort than I’d like to do.
But first I have to go to the grocery store and get some cat kibble. We ran out last night, and heaven forbid that our two little carpet queens would have no choices for breakfast. They’ve already got some well moistened canned stuff, with some crushed Dr. Marty’s raw dried kibbs mixed in. But no, they want the hard crunchy bits. So they’re wrapping themselves around my legs, giving me the pathetic kitteh stink eye. So I have to hit the store.
After that I can get around to doing my own project. We live in a 3 level condo on the ground floor, built on concrete slab foundation. The place was built in the late ‘70s, so it doesn’t have a ton of power outlets, phone outlets, and cable outlets. The Wifi modem thing from Xfinity needs all three, because we have the “triple play” package that provides internet, cable TV, and landline telephone. The only place in the house that has those three outlets close together is the small bedroom upstairs. The only place we can fit the PC desk is downstairs. So the Wifi signal has to pass through 2 concrete slabs and through 4 walls to get to my PC. So it’s no wonder I only get a 1 bar signal strength. Worse, this cheapo new PC I bought has a built=in Wifi that only works on the 2.4Ghz bandwidth, which is the slow narrow one that is totally overburdened in my building. The newer 5Ghz band is much faster, much wider, and is used less here. At least that’s what the Wifi Analyzer app shows me.
So I figured a two prong solution would work best. First, move the modem as close as possible, and get some kind of high end Wifi card for the PC that can use the 5Ghz band. So I got a big long phone wire, an equally long RG6 coax cable with 4 layer shielding, a bunch of cable connectors both straight and 90 degrees. Then I found a top rated high speed adapter that has a remote four phase antenna. This will let me raise the antenna off the floor down here to about the same level as the modem upstairs, giving me a straight signal path that doesn’t have to go through concrete. Plus super strong antennas. Naturally, the wires on the adapter aren’t quite long enough, and they use the rare mini coax cable that’s not commonly available, so I’m SOL for making my own 4 channel extension cord from standard coax cable. Instead, I have to rearrange things so I can get the PC several feet off the floor, so I can put the antenna up on the bookcase here. I only need to get it up to shoulder height, which I think I can do by putting the printer table on the other side of the PC desk, putting my old PC case on that, and then the new PC on top of that. Because I can’t raise it up too far, because the keyboard, monitor, and mouse wires have to reach the desk. So a simple job of laying a couple of wires will turn into a couple hours of moving furniture and everything else around, plus the time spent installing the card and messing about with the setup. Nothing is ever easy, and everything is always an unexpected cascade of other crap you have to do first before you can do what you want.
And if all that doesn’t do it, I also picked up a 50 foot long Cat 8 network cable, so I can temporarily hardwire the PC to the damn modem. That will absolutely give me maximum connectivity speed, but I’ll have a wire running across the floors of the entire condo. Not an elegant solution, or even a particularly safe one with that kind of tripping hazard. Use it when I’m here all alone, and hope the kittehs don’t think it’s some kind of snake toy to play with and chew on.
Or I could just go buy a house with big bedrooms and loads of outlets so I could put the modem right next to my PC. That’ll do it. And I thought this approach was an expensive one!
Right. Must get kibble. Now. Or else.

PC Progress
Ok, the HD power cable arrived, so with a bit of fussing about, I got it hooked up. And ... it didn’t even cause a hiccup. Didn’t even get a notice from Plug ‘N Play. It was just there. So I have access to all my old data, I think . I may have to change some permissions, which shouldn’t be so hard. Now I have to figure out how to migrate all my old installed software. Migrate isn’t the right word ... I have to get all their information into the new Registry. My bet is, there’s an app for that.
Even if I can only recover my Office 200n suite and a few of the better graphics programs, I’ll be good. Then I have to figure out how to get the Windows OS off of that drive, and get back lots of HD space.
But considering ... so far, so good.

WikiLeaks releases thousands of documents about Clinton and internal deliberations
As Hillary Clinton prepared to announce her 2016 running mate, a trove of nearly 20,000 emails were released by WikiLeaks on Friday, providing an embarrassing inside look at Democratic Party operations on the eve of the Democrats’ national convention.
The emails from the Democratic National Committee include discussions of Clinton’s chief rival for the presidential nomination, Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-Vt.); details of perks provided to party donors attending the convention; and email exchanges between party officials, journalists and others.
The emails were released with an announcement by WikiLeaks on Twitter that linked readers to a Wikileaks Page inviting visitors to “Search the DNC email database.” A search box sits underneath a one-paragraph introduction:
“Today, Friday 22 July 2016 at 10:30am EDT, WikiLeaks releases 19,252 emails and 8,034 attachments from the top of the US Democratic National Committee — part one of our new Hillary Leaks series,” the introduction says. “The leaks come from the accounts of seven key figures in the DNC,” including Communications Director Luis Miranda (10770 emails), National Finance Director Jordon Kaplan (3797 emails), Finance Chief of Staff Scott Comer and others. The newly released emails cover the period from January 2015 through May 25, 2016.
Got home from a day out with the hubs to this news. Hopped on Twitter to check it out. Apparently the first hashtag, #DNCLeaks was #1 trending for a while before it mysteriously disappeared. Soon thereafter, #DNCLeak started trending. That hashtag disappeared a short time later. #DemExit was trending for a while as well. The comments on the WaPo site are pretty much just what I was expecting. This makes me ALMOST want to watch the upcoming Dem convention. ALMOST....

awesome web tool
I don’t know how to build one of these, or even what they’re called. But they’re effin’ awesome~~!!
I saw this for the first time this morning while checking out the news and gossip over in the UK online.
It looks like it runs on a Javascript, and that the parameters change in real time, even in the source code.
The little slider moves left to right in the real one (this one here is just a picture of it) and it lets you compare two pictures. But the wonder is, the images are razor sharp and the motion is smooth as glass. No sticky jumpy movement, and no rough pixels. This is awesome.
Any web coders out there know what this thing is called, or how to make one?

The world may be advancing thanks to a handful of very tech savvy people, but it sure seems to have lost other things along the way to this bright new world.
Like common sense.
Political correctness has become a fixture to a degree where too many are practicing it as a religion.
University students have caused a bit of a stir, by taking PC even further into never, never land. “Safe Zones” for example, where nothing can be displayed or spoken that might in any way upset or offend someone. A place where, “never is heard a discouraging word, and the skies are not cloudy all day”. The idea that past figures for whom statues have been in place for a 100 years, they want taken down if that person made their fortune through or engaged in, slavery in any way. Or had anything to do with empire and colonialism. In other words, if they can’t rewrite history, they want to erase it. Currently it’s Cecil Rhodes who is in their narrow sights. I’m waiting for them to target the statue of old Honest Abe the Brits erected so long ago, who in a speech once opined that blacks could never be the equals of whites, nor should marriages between the races be allowed. He had a few other un-pc words on the subject that today, were he alive, he’d be tarred and feathered and disbarred from office.
But maybe those brainless twits are only vaguely aware of Lincoln due to that famous address he gave. You know. Friends Romans Countrymen …. I came here to bury this guy.
So anyway … what brought this on was something I read the other day.
Had to read it 2wice to make sure I actually saw what I think I read.

Close My Eyes And Jump
I made the big switch last night, going from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10. I’m hoping they gave me a 64 bit OS, but I don’t know how to check that yet.
Right. So this morning, I had half a dozen screens worth of settings to go through, mostly to tell MS not to share out my data to every digital Tom, Dick, or Harry who waltzes by. I’ll try to new parts one at a time when I have time, but for now just leave me alone, let my PC feel as -7- as possible, and let me get back to work.
I have to say, Firefox certainly looks nicer. Much crisper default font.
And I’m off to work.

Drew the tech master
There’s an IT joke in here to be made, somehow.
I lost the internet here for a couple of hours. No Wifi. No bars on the PC, nothing on the iPad. Had 10 other weak signals in the area, but my transponder was poof. WTH? Checked all the wires, checked the circuit breaker, checked that everything was plugged in ... all fine, but nothing. Then of course you reboot a couple of times and run some Windows diagnostic. Nada. So I went back up to the bedroom where the router is and went in, forgetting to turn the light on. Sure is mighty dark in here. And then ... D’OH!!! ... no little red light on the power bar. Click, ON, all fixed.
My guess is a certain inquisitive kitteh stepped on the switch, which is just lying there on the rug by the window. And you know how cats HAVE to go back behind everything, the more crowded and dustier the better. Maybe I have to paw-proof the IT now.

An Idea That Fizzled
I never quite understood what made Tapiture any different than Tumblr or Pintrest. Or Imgur. All are/were picture sharing sites of one kind or another, and there’s plenty more out there.
Maybe Tapiture had a better format. I can’t remember. I know Pintrest, and several other sites, use that never ending roll along format that adds new content to a single page whenever you get near the bottom. For anything bigger than 3 pages worth, I hate that. It’s impossible to go back and snap something up. Sure you can, but it takes forever. Breaking the content into pages is just so much faster.
Oh well. We’ll put Tapiture in the pile with Socks the wonder dog salespuppet for online dogfood; the digital dustbin of the internet. It was nice while it lasted I guess.

little white window om my PC
I kicked the PC into life this morning, and low and behold, a little white window showed up in the menu bar. “Get Windows 10” it reads. And here I thought that I wasn’t welcome at the party, because I didn’t get an invite like so many other folks.
I believe today is the day too. The day that when you can get the free download.
Any brave souls out there making the leap of faith?

Digital Defenestration
Ah, if only we were talking about double hungs, casements, and double glazing, Peiper would be dancing a jig.
Alas. This is merely ... merely ... Microsoft inviting the entire world to update from Windows 7 or 8 to Windows 10. For free. Invitation only. RSVP.
If you have not yet received an invitation, don’t worry. With only a couple billion PCs in the invite queue, it might take Redmond a bit of time to get around to sending yours out, but it shows up as Update KB3035583. You can get this update manually too if you want.
The actual roll out of Win 10 won’t be for another month or two. July, but don’t be shocked if there is a delay or two. Or five.
If you are running Windows 7 or Windows 8, you should already have had an invitation to “reserve” a copy of Windows 10. If not, run Windows Update to see if any updates are available for your PC. The one you want is KB3035583. This puts a small white Windows logo – the GWX or Get Windows 10 app – in the system tray on the right hand side of the Taskbar. Alternatively, you should be able to find the invitation by going to Windows Update in the Control Panel (via System and Security).
Huh. Well, I just looked on mine, and no invite. [pout] And then I ran a Windows Update and all I found was 4 security patches and an “important” update for the MS Silverlight bit of junk. No KB3035583 to be found. OTOH, I haven’t yet restarted from that update, so who knows?
Windows 10 will be released as a free update on 29 July, Microsoft has announced.
It will be the last major release of the 29-year-old operating system before Microsoft switches to a “Windows as a service” system, which entails updates being rolled out when ready.
This marks a change in Microsoft’s business model. The operating system will be offered as a free upgrade for users of Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 within the first year.
Each version of Windows has cost upwards of £100, although the majority of Windows users receive new versions of the operating system when buying a new computer, and not by upgrading the software themselves.
Microsoft made Windows 8.1, which restored the Start menu, as a free update to Windows 8. Windows 10 will bring back more familiar elements from Windows 7 and combine them with the modern look of Windows 8.1.
More than 4 million people have been beta testing the public preview of Windows 10 for the past couple of months, helping Microsoft fix problems before release. Recent reports indicate that Windows 10 is far from ready, with multiple bugs and glitches yet to be fixed.
Setting a date for release could help accelerate the development cycle, but it is crucial that Microsoft’s first public outing for Windows 10 is solid to avoid comparisons with bug-riddled Windows Vista from 2006.
Microsoft’s long-derided Internet Explorer will be replaced by Edge on Windows 10, while the operating system promises to unify the Windows ecosystem of apps and services across desktop, laptop and tablet PCs as well as smartphones.
Microsoft’s voice-controlled digital assistant, Cortana, will also make its debut beyond smartphones with Windows 10, rivalling Apple’s Siri and Google’s Now. Microsoft recently announced that Cortana would also be made available for the iPhone and Android devices.
The Redmond-based software company needs Windows 10 to be a hit both with consumers and businesses after difficulties in persuading organisations to upgrade from the 14-year-old Windows XP.
Microsoft’s “free upgrade offer*” says: “We will offer a free upgrade to Windows 10 for qualified new or existing Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1 devices that upgrade in the first year.” The asterisk links to a rider that says “some hardware/software requirements apply and feature availability may vary by device”. It may not be possible to update some Windows Phone smartphones, and it won’t be possible to update Windows RT devices.
The rider also says: “Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8.1 Update required.” This implies that if you are running Windows 7 or Windows 8 then you will have to update to Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8.1 Update – both are free – in order to get Windows 10 installed via the Windows Update service. This will deliver Windows 10 without you having to download and install the new operating system.
Pretty sure this PC is running 64 bit Win 7 Pro SP1. Maybe they haven’t added the full set of bells and whistles to Win 10 Pro 64, if such a thing is even going to exist.
Frankly, I miss XP. That OS was utterly bulletproof for me. Come to think of it, so was Win 98. I lucked out and avoided Win 2000 and Vista.

Guess I Missed That One
What the heck? Does Amazon now own PayPal?
I thought eBay owned PayPal, and was fighting Amazon tooth and nail.
I was just on PayPal. I hardly ever use it, so I wanted to update my personal information. When I clicked the Edit Address bit, up came the exact list of mailing addresses that I use on Amazon. Very strange,
If they’ve merged, I must have missed it.
I may have had Paypal exchanges with those same addresses too. But I didn’t get a list of places I’d done business with, I got a list of places that had been my Ship To addresses on Amazon.
BTW, a British Pound is only worth $1.52. Wow. If the UK has any good catalog stuff you’re considering buying, now would be a good time to go for it.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar.
